David Outhwaite, CEO and President of VIQ Solutions Inc., has 32 years of experience in the software and telecommunications industries. Previously, Mr. Outhwaite was the COO of CryptoLogic Inc., a Toronto-based company providing Internet-based Casino and eCommerce software to the global marketplace.
Mr. Outhwaite has held executive management positions with Informix Software Canada, Sybase Canada, Control Data Systems and Philips Information Systems. He has had an extensive career managing growth technology companies employing several hundred people and has led expansions in South American, European and Pacific markets. Mr. Outhwaite has participated in numerous ISO certifications and has acted as Compliance Officer for several public companies. He brings in-depth operational experience and a proven record of success to his role at VIQ Solutions.

Malcolm Macallum,
CTO

Malcolm Macallum, Chief Technology Officer, is a senior technology executive with extensive experience in business operations, software development, information technology and e-Commerce. Mr. Macallum served as Senior Vice President and CTO of a TSE listed healthcare information company specializing in healthcare management systems for Canadian, US, Indian and Australian markets. He has successfully built and managed organizations of over 200 professionals in business operations, systems development, human resources, administration and quality assurance.
Mr. Macallum has built the infrastructure, systems and processes for two growing public companies and has driven the re-engineering of multi-national business processes and systems with corporations such as LaFarge, CTV, Glaxo and Warner-Lambert. He has also launched several entrepreneurial businesses, the most recent being a development subsidiary in Chenai, India. Mr. Macallum has extensive international experience and a proven track record in government-regulated international businesses and healthcare markets.

Karen Hersh,

Karen Hersh, Chief Financial Officer, oversees all financial operations for VIQ Solutions and its subsidiaries. Ms. Hersh brings more than 18 years experience in the areas of finance, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, business restructurings, corporate strategy and management.
Prior to joining VIQ Solutions, Ms. Hersh was a Vice President at PricewaterhouseCoopers Securities where she specialized in mergers and acquisitions, restructurings and financings for companies in the technology and telecommunications industries.
Ms. Hersh has successfully managed and closed numerous business transactions and brings solid transactional and financial experience to her role at VIQ Solutions.
Ms. Hersh holds a Bachelor of Commerce (McGill University) and is a Chartered Accountant.
