MARKHAM, ON, Nov. 27 /CNW/ - VIQ Solutions Inc. ("VIQ Solutions" or the "Corporation") (TSX Venture: VQS) announced today that Spark & Cannon Australasia Pty Limited ("Spark & Cannon"), the Corporation's wholly-owned Australian subsidiary, has been awarded a contract by the Western Australia Department of the Attorney General ("DotAG") for the provision of court recording and transcription services. The exclusive contract, which commences on December 18th, 2006, has a term of three years with the option to extend for an additional two years. This contract has an annual value estimated to be AUS $3.1 million based on the historical workflow supplied by DotAG in the tender documents.
DotAG works with the state's judiciary to administer justice and provides residents of Western Australia access to a quality judicial system. The mission of DotAG is to facilitate fast and affordable court and tribunal processes that are responsive to community needs for access to justice. Under the contract, Spark & Cannon will provide court reporting and transcription services for state courts and tribunals across Western Australia.
